Meyer Optik Görlitz is a German company founded in 1896. However, the historical company went out of business in 1991 and there was a failed relaunch attempt in 2014. In 2018, the German-based company OPC Optical Precision Components Europe GmbH purchased the rights to the brand and resumed lens production. Production is German.
